Loads of great news about the Family Cycling Project!

We have so much news to tell you about with the Family Cycling Project!

Not only did the Family Cycling Library win Best Family Friendly Event at the London Cycling Campaign awards last year, but we also won another round of funding from Cycling Grants London. This will take the Library to another level: creating a Mobile Library of family cycling kit that we can take to community groups around Hackney and beyond!

This has allowed us at CarryMe Bikes CIC to order in an Extra Long Urban Arrow cargobike - an absolute beauty of a machine. Watch this space for when it's up and running, because it'll be available for hire too. Hire funds will go back into the new Mobile Library project.

Now that we've been able to invest in the Urban Arrow brand, we have also got in a Shorty Urban Arrow which is dead cute! We'll be updating our Hires page with info soon - but get in contact with us to try it out, it's available now for hire at the '2-wheeler with electric assist' hire costs.

We can also sell Urban Arrows too - get in touch to find out more! Remember that we put some of our sales monies back into our community projects like the Family Cycling Project, so we're a great choice to spend your money supporting a local business who gives back into the community too.

Anyway back to the Family Cycling Project news!!  The project supported 400 people in its first year, and we've been asked to write a blog about it for Groundwork London who administer Cycling Grants London. We're very excited about continuing with the Project as a whole during 2018, with the Tots & Cargobikes sessions and Family Bike Rides kicking off again soon as well as the Library.

And we're busy meeting with all the new project partners for the Mobile Library to plan our kit-loaning events: Round Chapel Families Project, Hornbeam Joyriders, Hackney Playbus, and our 'old faithful' Tots & Cargobikes partners Wheelytots, who we'll also be visiting with the Mobile Library.

More info coming soon!!
