Bakfiets Short Cruiser Steps

Perfect for the smaller family, the Bakfiets Short Cruiser Steps model is fun and manoeuvrable. It features a deep, strong cargo box which is ‘glued and screwed’ for strength, in which you can fit two children, or flip up the seat and install a Maxi-Cosi. The Shimano Steps motor is torque-sensitive and located in the bottom bracket. As with all Bakfiets bikes, it has an enclosed chain for low maintenance, a coat guard and easy access via the step-through frame. The Cruiser models have fun and comfy creme balloon tyres, mudguards in the same colour as the frame, a Brooks leather saddle and stylish handlebar grips. Note that the Cruiser version does not come with a rear pannier rack as standard, so 2 kids is the maximum it can carry unless we fit a specific rear rack to it. The Classic versions come with a rear rack, so you can add a child seat there. This cycle feels strong and stable, yet nippy and the Short is one of our best sellers.
