The Raleigh Stride 2 is a great-value electric assist boxbike with a fabulous Bosch motor, 500w battery for long periods between charges, and lots of great features included, such as the rear pannier rack, comfortable saddle and protective metal bars around the EPP box. You can carry a baby in a Maxi Cosi plus two other kids on the bench seat, or you can add a child seat to the rear of the bike to keep more room inside the box. Or add on panniers on the rack and even a rear basket too for extra carrying space!

Businesses also find this an excellent bike for deliveries between premises. You could save ?600 or more by using this bike instead of a business-specific ecargobike such as the Raleigh Pro Bike, if you don’t need a lockable box at the front.

British company Raleigh now have a range of their own ecargobikes and the Stride 2 is pretty good value for money with a really nice, snazzy design. A children’s raintent for the box is available to purchase separately, as are a Flat Cover for the box (which is great for protecting the box contents from weather problems when you don’t have the children’s raintent on), an adaptor to fit in a MaxiCosi baby seat, and Cushions for extra comfort when the kids get older and sit on the wooden bench seat.

The Bosch motor will get you up even the steepest hills with ease, even when fully loaded with precious cargo. The integrated front and rear lights are excellent for visibility and the Nuvinci ‘stepless’ gears make changing gear easy-peasy. Hydraulic disk brakes as standard make stopping a breeze.
